The campaign features nine basketball-themed short stories, each centered around a fictional player inspired by Kobe Bryant and his signature shoes. The stories will subtly weave themes and concepts related to Kobe's spirit, his achievements during the era of each shoe model, or the essence of each shoe itself, without directly mentioning them. Each story will be accompanied by an illustration by artist Fung Chin Pang, depicting the protagonist wearing each generation of the Zoom Kobe shoe. These stories, ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 Chinese characters, will be self-contained and feature diverse protagonists, with three stories featuring two recurring characters. This allows readers to enjoy any story without needing to read the series in order. The stories will have a global appeal, featuring characters from various nationalities, including Chinese characters whose regional background won't be emphasized, making them accessible to readers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Each story will have a core theme represented by two Chinese characters (plus an English translation), symbolizing Kobe's spirit or characteristics, such as "freedom," "sharpness," or "fighting spirit." The story content will be closely tied to this theme and will feature basketball action scenes, incorporating elements of wuxia/action fiction style into the basketball narrative.
